The instructional method in this book makes better sense to me than what I've read in other books. Juan Martin explains the technique--the who, what and why of it--instead of leaving the information out. Juan not only is an excellent artist but exemplary at explaining things via a book. And the book is superbly edited--what Juan plays is what's written in the notation and tablature, unlike some other music books, which tend to have a lot of discrepancies that can really frustrate newer guitar students. To top it all off, I love the music Juan plays.

An expanded update of the earlier edition. A must-have, even if you can find the original volumes. Even though there is no video, just an audio cd, there is plenty of text in the book to accompany Maestro Martin's comments on the cd, and the book has musical notation and tabs for all the lessons.
